These guys have been shakin’ it up their entire musical career, having played together since 1984 starting with the ground-breaking, reggae-rock-soul-funk group “First Light” (along with Carlos Jones), where they toured the eastern half of the U.S. virtually non-stop for 14 years, releasing several cd’s and sharing the stage with many national and international acts.
They then teamed up with singer Butchie Buchanon and became Outlaws I&I – continuing the roots-reggae-rebel music foundation that they had built through the years. Once Butchie decided to retire to Arizona, the band decided to keep things going. They still had the love for playing music together, and were such a well-oiled machine – a true “band of brothers” forged from years on the road together along with the hills and valleys that go with it, that they were all ready for the next chapter of this journey.
From the first note, you’ll hear the rock solid drum and bass foundation, layered with keyboard and guitar licks, subtle percussion complementing the stunning vocal harmonies. Now with the addition of trumpet player extraordinaire – Joe Miller (another First Light alumni), they can take the energy to a whole other level! They are truly one of the “legacy” Cleveland groups, not to be missed!
